Gaara

This is Gaara, pony ninja of Suna. He is from the anime series "Naruto".
He is rerooted with red nylon hair, which has been styled like Gaara's hair on the show. Styling his hair was a serious pain in the butt. Lol.
His strap was made with apoxie sculpt and painted brown.
I'm Particularly proud of the gourd. It was made by gluing together two marshmallow shaped foam (kinda like the foam makeup sponges are made of) pieces, that were shaped and then covered in apoxie sculpt. This was done because if the gourd was solid apoxie sculpt, poor Gaara would be falling over. The cork is a real bottle cork that I sanded down till it wass the right size. The red band is made of real fabric.
His body has been painted a chocolate brown and on his forehead is the kanji for 'love'.
His feet have been painted black to give him the look of the shoes worn by Sand ninjas. His silver hoof mark is the symbol of the village of Sand.
His headband and fore head protector were hand made with fabric and sculpy. The 'metal' part is painted with silver metalic paint and has the Sand symbol painted in black.
His eyes were painted in a pale teal, with a dark teal ring. And outlined in black.
